Progress towards the regionalization of semiconductor manufacturing in Europe continues, this time with a new partnership between Amkor Technology, a leader in advanced packaging services, and GlobalFoundries (GF), a leading wafer foundry. This partnership aims to contribute to the effort to regionalize the manufacture of automotive semiconductors in the European Union.

In addition to this development, Amkor has also recently started the expansion of a new factory in Porto to deepen its commitment and support for local supply chains and global customers.
