Eureka Eurostars is an international funding programme aimed primarily at innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) wishing to collaborate on Research and Development (R&D) projects. It involves 37 countries, including EU members, countries associated with Horizon Europe and some non-European countries. Eurostars candidate projects must be led by an SME with R&D activities, involve at least two participants from different Eurostars countries and have a maximum duration of 3 years.
The application process is normally carried out through 2 annual calls. In the case of Portugal, projects approved centrally within the scope of Eurostars can be funded through the Research and Development Incentive System in the form of R&D Internationalisation.
