Eureka Celtic-Next is an international collaboration programme focused on next-generation communications with a view to promoting a secure, reliable and sustainable digital society. It is an industry-led initiative involving its main players in the field of information, communication and electronic technologies (ICT), but also SMEs, service providers and R&D institutions.
Its activities are open to all organisations that share its vision of an inclusive digital society and want to collaborate on its behalf, aligning national priorities in order to advance the development and adoption of advanced ICT solutions.
- Digital security
- Artificial intelligence
- 5G and advanced communication technologies
- Internet of Things
- Autonomous vehicles
- Smart energy solutions
- Smart cities
- e-Health.
Like other clusters in the Eureka Network, applications involve the formation of an international consortium and, once approved and issued with the Eureka label, applications for funding at state level. This programme aims to develop prototypes, demonstrators and contribute to international standardisation processes.
The application process is carried out through two annual calls for projects and follows the strategic plan in force until 2025 (https://bscw.celticnext.eu/pub/bscw.cgi/d82237/Celtic-Next-Scope-and-Research-Area-2021-2025.pdf).
