IBM has announced a major breakthrough in semiconductor technology with the development of a new sub-1 nanometer chip architecture, marking a significant step forward in advanced computing and transistor scaling.
The new design, based on 3D stacking structures and advanced transistor engineering concepts, enables significantly higher density and improved energy efficiency compared to previous generations, pushing the boundaries of current semiconductor scaling limits.
According to IBM, this innovation is expected to have a major impact on fields such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and next-generation digital systems, enabling more powerful and energy-efficient computing platforms.
